feeling the familiar deja vu of communication failure...
catching the details of my parent's latest cruise from mom; better post some pics of the monkeys and that cave tubing excursion!!!
can't take my bath without a book, and I just finished the one I was reading recently...

using my laptop as a lap warmer while I upload the latest copy of the TargetMatrex code to the test environment...
relearning Xaraya permissions from the ground up, by necessity...
kid has been awake for less than five minutes and doesn't even know the name of the game yet, but he knows he wants to play Spore!
didn't have this problem of waking up at 6am when I used to go to bed at 4am...

Friday, January 29, 2010

rediscovered sub-selects as an alternative to using JOIN's in mySQL for doing empty total summaries...
downloading disparate copies of TargetMatrex for comparison and versioning...
turning Spore into the ultimate babysitter...

shutting down my laptop before the battery runs out, since I was stoopid enough to leave it at home today...
trying to figure out why Joey is so impressed with Windows 7...
need a big phat nipple on my latte...
congratulations, Sun, for showing your true colors by borking the entire MySQL docs repository...
thinking that Doyle's office guest chair needs some WD-40 badly...
hoping Doyle realizes I'm here so that he doesn't wake up and shoot me on accident...

window shopping for technical writers...
yearning for a meal, a massage and a nap...
wondering if Apple will release a deluxe iPad for the seriously hardcore Mac whiners and call it the iMaxiPad...
trying to concentrate on this client call despite having made it home before construction noise quit for the day...
chatting it up with Kate and Tami, of the TargetMatrex crew, about the Annihilator project and it's deployment...
inventing never before heard profanity for construction workers...

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

creating 78 new files to accommodate 13 new designs for TargetMatrex...
playing musical projects, trying to figure out what to work on next...

Quote by pataphor

Added the definition for pataphor to Ivory-Tower: An extended metaphor that creates its own context. A pataphor attempts to create a figure of speech that exists as far from metaphor as metaphor exists from non-figurative language. Also, when an idea seems to take on a life of its own. An assumption based on an assumption. 2 degrees of separation from reality.

hanging pictures on the wall for Karo...
suffering from Autosomal Dominant Compelling Helio-Ophthalmic Outburst Syndrome...
tearing myself away from Ruminations.com only to realize I have to go back and actually work on it...
c'mon Firefox, just a few more tabs!!!
wondering if a meme could be considered a PEBKAC virus...
feeling like I need a do-over on waking up...
just finished turning away bible students looking for people who speak spanish; it's the twilight zone, man...

taking a much needed code break and daydreaming...
doing the module upgrade development shuffle: deactivate, remove, install, test, repeat...
going to work on the SWOT worksheet in the Mission Statement module while I wait for a bath to draw...
DynamicData plus devCRUDmaker for the fastest component turn-around in adding Core Beliefs to the Mission Statement module!
really didn't originally intend to have a core beliefs component in the mission statement module, but oh well...
dreaming up outdoor spelling games for children while taking a quick break from coding the mission statement module...
wondering if I will be able to regain productive momentum today...

Playing Tekken 6 instead of working, on Doctor Joey's orders...
Five-hour energy FTW! Teh, Joey. Gonna be a productive night, by the feel of things...
Watching Doyle and Joey manhandles a bigscreen into the back of a truck...
it's not feature creep, it's organic feature growth!
I wanna see a Guy Ritchie film about hackers some day, that would be teh hawtness...
ripping apart the guts of my mission statement module and rewriting it...
finding my glasses unaccountably uncomfortable to wear... sinus/allergies maybe?
